Surviving and thriving in 2025

Next year, Pure Catering turns 20.

We took over the business in 2015, but reaching that milestone speaks volumes about the resilience of this brand — its ability to evolve, adapt, and keep going through changing markets, shifting costs, a global pandemic, and an industry that never stands still. Twenty years is no small thing in hospitality, and I’m incredibly proud of what Pure has become.

What stands out most to me in 2026 is our team. Growing from a small business into a medium-sized one happens faster than you expect — and it doesn’t come without its challenges. Systems change, expectations grow, pressure increases, and not every decision is easy (or popular). Hospitality has real highs and very real lows, and there are days where it tests you.

But this year reinforced something I’ve always believed: good people make the difference.

As 2026 draws to a close, I’ve found myself doing something I don’t often slow down enough to do — reflecting.

This year has been big.
Challenging, rewarding, exhausting, energising. The kind of year that reminds you that hospitality is never linear — it’s a constant balance of people, pressure, pride, and persistence.

Pure Catering has continued to grow in 2025. More weddings, more corporate events, more trusted venue partnerships, and more opportunities to be part of moments that genuinely matter to people. That responsibility never gets old, but it does keep you on your toes.

Our team continues to show up with professionalism, care, humour, and grit. Many have been with us for years, some for over a decade, and others are newer faces who’ve stepped in and made an immediate impact. Watching them adapt, lead, and support one another through busy seasons and big growth moments has been one of the most rewarding parts of this year.

2026 also reminded me how important trust is — from clients, venues, suppliers, and staff. Much of our work continues to come through word of mouth and long-standing relationships. That trust is earned slowly, tested often, and never taken for granted.

We’ve also become more intentional this year — about how we grow, what we say yes to, and how we protect our standards as demand increases. Not every opportunity is the right one, and learning when to pause, refine, and reset has been just as important as expanding.

And while this post is about looking back, I can’t ignore what’s ahead.

As we move into 2027 — our 20th year — there’s an exciting new chapter coming for Pure Catering. One that reflects our growth, supports our team, and allows us to continue delivering the level of service and care we’re known for, just on a bigger scale. We’re expanding thoughtfully, not quickly — and I can’t wait to share more when the time is right

.

To every couple who trusted us with their wedding.
To every business who relied on us to feed their teams.
To every venue who welcomed us back time and time again.
And to every staff member who backed this business through the busy, the messy, and the moments in between…

Thank you.

Pure Catering exists because people gather — around tables, around milestones, around food meant to be shared. Being part of those moments is a privilege I’ll never take lightly.

Here’s to a well-earned breather, a milestone year ahead, and whatever 2027 brings.
We’ll meet it head-on.
